The SKIQ vertical lathes are manufactured in sizes from 12 to 25 and they are delivered as lathe-type machines or as machining centres. The characteristic feature of the SKIQ vertical lathes is the automatic tool exchange performed from the tool magazine with 15 positions located directly on the machine rail head. The tool magazine can contain turning tool holders, drilling and grinding spindles, including angle spindles.

The SKIQ vertical lathes in sizes 10, 12, 16 and 20 can be also manufactured with the side head. The SKIQ 25 vertical lathe can be equipped with two rail heads. The AC motor power output up to 63 kW is used for the table drive and the independent servo drive on the controlled C-axis. The machine can be equipped with the third controlled Caxis and with the live spindle drive. If the machine is completed with the pallet exchange systém serving for workpiece exchange, it will considerably reduce the machine idle time necessary for workpiece setup and alignment.
